Not getting as much done as you’d like, try out the 5-Minute Rule. It’s one simple trick to getting real things done that need to be done.
What is the 5-minute rule?
Set a timer for five minutes and get started on something you want to do. Give yourself five minutes to make a small dent in whatever task you were trying to tackle.
Watch the above video. The lady noted that 9 times out of 10, there was a strong likelihood that you’d keep going another five or ten minutes — and start to get an onerous task done.
Why not use the 5-Minute Rule the next time you delay creating a great video, or recording your next podcast episode, or writing your next email, or sharing something on your least favorite social network?
Or, for the authors out there, use the 5-Minute Rule to write a page for your next book!
Late last year I shared with you a different book that I wrote, The Book Authority Guide on Why You Should Write a Book. That book is also available for free as a download at http://bookauthorauthority.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/The-Book-Authority-Guide-on-Writing-a-Bestseller.pdf.
Last week, I also told you about another free offer: The Book Authority Guide to Why You Should Write a Book. Here is the link to download that book freely as well: https://bookauthorauthority.com/the-book-authority-guide-on-why-write-a-book.
