The following song is based on a number of quotations from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a wrestler and an actor. I arranged the quotes in a way to make them play better as a song. If you want success, work hard, be good, and run towards that main thing that inspires you every day.
The Secret to Success lyrics
What I have learned through experience
Is that I need to keep the main thing
And the main thing for me
The thing that in the morning
I swing my legs out of bed
And I run towards
It is creating
It is art
It is storytelling
You gotta get up in the morning
You gotta get after it
You gotta put in the work
You gotta sweat, sweat hard
Success isn’t overnight
It’s when every day
You get a little better
Better than the day before
It adds up, it adds up
I’m always asked
What’s the secret to success?
But there are no secrets
Be humble
Be hungry
And always be the hardest worker
The hardest worker in the room
Check your ego at the door
The ego can be a success inhibitor
It can kill opportunities
It can kill success
You gotta get up in the morning
You gotta get after it
You gotta put in the work
You gotta sweat, sweat hard
